This full-day small-group tour takes you away from the tourist trail and into the daily rhythms of real local life. Your day begins at a working countryside market where farmers sell their morning harvest — fresh vegetables, tropical fruits, live fish, and street snacks that never make it to a restaurant menu. From there, you'll visit family-run workshops to see how rice is milled and how rượu nếp (sticky rice wine) is made the traditional way, using recipes passed down through generations. A private long-tail boat carries you along the Mekong River, past floating houses, riverside villages, and fishing boats. You'll step into an organic fruit orchard to pick and taste fresh tropical fruits straight from the trees — mangosteen, rambutan, dragon fruit, longan — and drink coconut water cut right in front of you. The heart of the day is a hands-on cooking class with a local family in their riverside garden kitchen. You'll learn to make bánh xèo (sizzling rice pancakes), chả giò (fried spring rolls), and bò lá lốt (BBQ pork in betel leaves) — then sit down together for lunch.
