Half a day is all it takes to step inside one of the most extraordinary places in Vietnam. This small-group tour takes you beneath the jungle floor into the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels — an underground city where thousands of people lived, fought, and survived — guided by someone who makes history feel immediate and real.

Few places in Vietnam hit you the way Cu Chi does.

Beneath a quiet stretch of jungle 70 kilometres from Saigon lies a network of tunnels that stretches over 200 kilometres underground. Built by hand, expanded over decades, and home to thousands of people during wartime — the Cu Chi Tunnels are not a museum reconstruction. They're the real thing. And this half-day tour gives you the time, the guide, and the access to understand what actually happened here. You'll start with a short documentary that sets the historical scene — who built these tunnels, why, and what daily life looked like underground. Then you go in. Crouch through preserved tunnel sections, discover hidden trapdoors camouflaged into the jungle floor, step inside underground kitchens, sleeping quarters, field hospitals, and command rooms. Your guide will explain not just the engineering ingenuity, but the human stories — what it meant to live, work, and survive underground for months at a time. Above ground, the exhibits tell the broader story. And before you leave, you'll sit down to a small but significant moment: a cup of hot tea and a piece of cassava — the same simple food that sustained the tunnel communities through the war years. It sounds like a small thing. It isn't. The tour runs morning and afternoon, both with the same content and the same maximum of 12 guests. Whichever session fits your Saigon schedule, you'll return to the city with a deeper understanding of Vietnamese history than most visitors ever get.
